Summary:
Genesis Partners is collaborating with a highly dynamic and rapidly growing company that is seeking an accomplished Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead strategic financial planning and position the company for sustainable, long-term success. This role offers an incredible growth trajectory, with a potential pathway to CFO within the next few years.
Position Overview:
As the VP of FP&A, you will be a key partner to the executive leadership team. You’ll lead all aspects of financial planning, analysis, and reporting, guiding the company’s strategic decision-making to optimize profitability, drive operational efficiencies, and support future growth. This role requires a forward-thinking, analytical, and hands-on leader who can scale processes in a high-growth environment and deliver insights that drive the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Analysis: Lead annual and long-term strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycles. Analyze market trends, competitive performance, and business metrics to identify risks and opportunities.
- Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models that assess the company’s performance, project future growth, and evaluate business scenarios.
- Operational Efficiency: Partner with cross-functional teams and executive leadership to enhance the effectiveness of reporting, KPIs, and overall financial performance.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with Executives, providing actionable insights to influence key business decisions.
- Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing FP&A team, fostering an environment of continuous improvement, accountability, and growth.
- Path to CFO: For the right candidate, this role offers a potential path to the Chief Financial Officer position within the next 2–3 years, making this a unique opportunity for career advancement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive FP&A experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role within a product based environment.
- Demonstrated success in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment; experience with both corporate and start-up financial operations is a plus.
- Expertise in financial modeling, strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analytics.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and developing teams.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working fully remote, with the ability to thrive in a flexible, results-oriented environment.
