    Job Description

    The SpinCo organization is looking for a VP, HR Operations to join their team! The VP, HR Operations will shape HR Operations strategy, implement scalable HR processes, and provide expertise on workforce planning, employee engagement, talent management, and organizational development to proactively leverage HR technology. The VP of HR Operations will be an exceptional communicator, leader, and partner, ensuring that the company attracts, retains, and develops top talent in the entertainment industry. This role will report directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), SpinCo.

    What you’ll do:

    • Demonstrates and maintains knowledge/leadership in HR processes (including but not limited to, Compensation, Total Rewards, Recruiting, Performance, Learning, etc.) to conform to evolving business practices
    • Lead HR process reengineering projects, analyzes new opportunities to proactively leverage HCM technology across the organization in an effort to improve business processes
    • Communicates complex specifications cross functionally with technical and non-technical resources to implement new HCM solutions that meet business requirements
    • Recommends, designs, develops, and implements business processes involving 3rd party technologies that may or may not interact with SAP in order to effectively meet business objectives
    • Serves in the capacity of Functional Project Manager, and supports development and maintenance of project scope/objectives through requirements gathering, goal prioritization, planning, scheduling, identification of risks, and contingency plans
    • Acts independently and in a team environment to apply strong research skills
    • Lead and mentor a team, and coach staff on performance and professional development issues.
    • Manages individual workload and delivers against agreed upon project milestones
    • Acts as a liaison between the Technology Department and the Business, specifically HR, Talent and Reward Teams
    • Facilitating communications between the various stakeholders and collaborates with internal cross-functional teams to provide technical advice and solutions
    • Conducting interviews and performing analysis in order to create Business Cases and/or Business Process models for projects
    • Employing tools in Business Process Management group efforts to collect and analyze metrics and continually improve processes owned by the group
    • Participates in root cause analysis in order to recommend product and/or process enhancements or other appropriate actions to improve productivity for both the business units and Technology
    • Create project plans, including deliverables, activities and timelines
    • Direct day-to-day activities of projects and staff in matrixed organization
    • Manage all project phases, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure from an HR perspective.
    • Ensure milestones are successfully met through oversight of project and coordination of resources
    • Assess, manage, resolve and escalate (if necessary) risks and issues
    • Prepare for system updates, rolling out new features and functionality to optimize performance and usability.
    • Identify opportunities for automation and reduction of manual processes.
    • Plan for needed resources and funding
    • Manage vendor relationships
    • Work with Leadership to further develop a strategy to optimize HRIS systems to meet requirements and help drive efficiencies.

    What you’ll need:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technology, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business processes and systems development related to HR OR equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Minimum of 7 years of experience with HCM related, cloud-based technologies.

    Desired Characteristics:

    • Certifications in HR and/or Project Management preferred
    • Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Office Products, Project Management software and SAP
    • Strong interpersonal skills and team skills, ability to communicate well with individuals, and in group settings, ability to communicate with diverse population and people from various backgrounds
    • Understanding of HR Processes and cross functional dependences
    • Strong written and verbal communication, ability to prepare reports and make presentations to various groups
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Strong conflict management skills
    • Strong decision making skills and ability to use professional judgment
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
    • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in performing work duties
    • Demonstrates strong project management skills while managing multiple, concurrent projects
    • Excellent analytical and time management skills
    • Experience with HRIS, Cloud/SAAS implementation and maintenance
    • Intermediate to advanced expertise with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

    Eligibility Requirements:

    • Must be willing to travel for work related business if necessary

    • Hybrid : This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
