    Job Description

    NBCUniversal is seeking a Vice President Legal, AI Innovation and Acceleration to serve as the lead business lawyer for the newly formed AI Innovation and Acceleration group. In addition, this role will coordinate legal advice across the legal matrix, including business and corporate functions. This role will report to the General Counsel, Corporate Legal Affairs, Operations & Technology. The role will focus on guidance and risk assessments involving artificial intelligence, machine learning and other new technologies as needed.     Responsibilities:

    • Provide legal advice and support on matters pertaining to the newly formed AI Innovation and Acceleration group. Serve as legal point of contact with AI Innovation and Acceleration group senior management to provide practical and actionable legal advice and strategic risk management.
    • Coordinate with business and legal teams across the enterprise to deliver seamless legal support to the new team. Collaborate with corporate and business legal teams, including experts from Intellectual Property, Privacy, Cyber, Employment, Legal Operations, and Compliance teams.
    • Collaborate to develop and execute on best practices for operationalization of new technology, with focus on artificial intelligence.
    • Serve as legal representative for Gen AI Innovation and Acceleration group in corporate AI governance, including representing the group in legal and risk committees.
    • Contract negotiation and drafting for AI and new technology agreements.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • A law degree from an accredited institution and at least 10 years of experience in transactional law practice, with significant experience in the entertainment or technology sectors preferred
    • Must be a member in good standing of a State Bar
    • Strong knowledge of and interest in AI and its applications, and the legal and regulatory challenges it presents for entertainment companies
    • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills

    Eligibility Requirements:

    • Must be willing to work in New York, NY
    • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
    • This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
