    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking a Vice President – Transit Facility Program Manager to be based in Los Angeles CA, relocation assistance is offered for candidates within the state of California.

    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Transit Facility Program Manager is responsible for the planning, contracting, and support service activities in accordance with approved standards consistent with the expectations of client and presiding agencies. The Transit Facility Program Manager develops and implements the procedures and support services processes for the program; manages a team of staff to execute design engineering, contract procurements, and contract technical and compliance activities. This position functions as a key advisor to the Program Director to ensure minimal delay and interruption with the procurement processes which would impact the program and/or construction schedule.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for the management of technical, contracting, and support service activities for transit facility client programs.
    • Develop and implement Program Management Plans for transit facility clients
    • Develops the procurement and contracting processes and implements operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiencies.
    • Plans, monitors, evaluates and supervises the operation of the contractors, subconsultants, and vendors.
    • Conducts competitive bidding activities including developing Request for Proposals, Request for Qualifications, public noticing, facilitating bidder’s panel, facilitating selection panels, and writing award recommendations.
    • Responsible for ensuring that the final product of the project or program team reflects the original scope and budget requirements.
    • Proactively identifies potential program problems or opportunities, analyzes the issues using all appropriate resources, develops alternatives and arrives at the most optimum approach to mitigate problems or exploit opportunities.
    • Supports business development, thought leadership, and global strategic initiative corporate needs.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENT

    • BA/BS + Extensive years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 6 years of leadership experience.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelors in engineering with a discipline of Civil, Electrical, or related
    • 20+ years of relevant experience
    • 15+ years of program management
