    About Us:

    The VP of Finance at Eastside Exterminators is an essential team member to help guide, strategize, and grow as the company continuously strives to reach new heights. This role is pivotal in achieving our goals while being scalable and efficient. Our VP of Finance reports directly to company President and is expected to provide insight and counsel on financial items that impact the organization. As the finance leader, the position will play a significant part in Eastside Exterminator’s growth journey and aspirations to remain the preferred pest control provider of the Pacific Northwest.

    Your Role:

    The Vice President of Finance is a key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company. This role involves leading the finance department, developing financial strategies, ensuring the company's financial health, and driving sustainable growth. The VP of Finance will provide leadership in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Financial Leadership: Lead the finance department, providing strategic direction and ensuring alignment with the company’s overall goals and objectives.

    Financial Planning & Analysis: Oversee the development of financial models, forecasts, and budgets to guide decision-making and support long-term financial goals.

    Reporting: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to the executive team and stakeholders.

    Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the company’s assets are safeguarded and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations is maintained.

    Capital Management: Oversee cash flow management, investment strategies, and capital expenditures to optimize the company’s financial performance.

    Internal Controls: Develop and implement robust internal controls to ensure accuracy, integrity, and efficiency in financial reporting and operations.

    Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute the company’s strategic plan, including mergers and acquisitions, financing strategies, and other growth initiatives.

    Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

    Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting standards, working closely with external auditors and regulators.

    Qualifications:

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.

    Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role, preferably in the field service industry, Pest Management or a similar field.

    Skills:

    Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

    Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

    In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.

    Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.

    Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

    Proven track record of driving financial performance and managing financial operations in a complex business environment.

    Certifications: CPA, CFA, or other relevant financial certifications are highly desirable.

    Working Conditions

    This position is based in Woodinville, WA with occasional travel required.
