    Is this job for you?

    • You're an experienced purchasing professional with a track record of transforming procurement operations
    • You have 15 years+ of progressive experience = progressive means several companies with multiple promotions/roles within the same company.

    The Role

    As the Vice President of Purchasing, you'll be responsible for:

    • Building and leading a world-class procurement department from ‘almost’ ground up - long term successful company without a structure, processes in place
    • Developing and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize a $250++ million annual purchasing budget
    • Creating and managing supplier performance metrics and scorecards
    • Leading both domestic and international teams
    • Implementing best-in-class procurement processes and systems
    • Negotiating contracts and managing relationships with key suppliers

    What you bring to the table

    • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field; MBA or relevant certifications
    • 20+ years of experience in senior procurement roles, with a proven track record of building and leading procurement departments
    • Proven experience in driving significant cost savings
    • Certification such as CPP, CCPM, CCGP, or similar is highly desirable

    Compensation

    • Competitive base salary range of $225,000 +/- plus strong bonus/equity plan
    • Relocation potential for the right candidate
    • Location: Onsite in the Nashville area
