VALUE WINDOWS & DOORS, INC. a leading Windows & Doors manufacturer in the Southern California area is currently hiring for an ENTRY LEVEL SOFTWARE ENGINEER IN DUARTE, CA.

Applicants must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, have great communication skills and be computer literate.  In addition, must be able to build and maintain great business relationships with new and existing customers.

SUMMARY:

Responsible for the development, design and data management and implementation of new or modified programs within existing ERP System to support Vinyl and Aluminum Manufacturing of Windows, Doors, Store Fronts and Glass Production.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Data base management / integration of ERP System in manufacturing process
• Establish and develop procedures to integrate ERP system with Manufacturing Equipment for ease of manufacturing and production and quality improvements
• Develops, applies and maintains quality standards for software application and systems that the company develops in support of manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, or quality processes and sales
• Provide technical guidance and training to other departments regarding Software capabilities, functions and procedures
• Testing and evaluating new ERP System features and documenting results before implementation.
• Ability to produce written training documentation in simple language for non-technical staff.
• Manage Customer record integrity.
• Manage and update vendor tech-support tickets.

THIS POSITION REQUIRES:

• Working overtime as required specially during peak season
• Frequent talking, sitting and data entry
• Use of office equipment (i.e. computer, phone, fax, etc…)
• Work collaboratively as well as independently

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:

• BS/BA in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of software engineering experience
• Proficient experience in Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Work experience with common programming languages: C/C++, Python, Java
• Prior experience with ERP/PPS systems, CRM’s, mobile apps and/or databases and report writing software
• Knowledge in Database (Mainly Microsoft SQL Server) including the ability to run and build SQL queries.
