**REQUIREMENTS
** Seeking attorneys with life sciences technical backgrounds. Specific technical backgrounds include biochemistry, chemistry, biology, molecular biology, and the like. The position requires a Juris Doctor degree, and experience with assessing life sciences patent portfolios (or other strategic patent advising/prosecution); researching substantive and procedural legal issues in federal court litigation and inter partes review proceedings before the USPTO; conducting pre-suit infringement and validity investigations; drafting and responding to pleadings and written discovery requests and handling discovery disputes; managing document collection, production, and review; drafting discovery motions, summary judgement motions, and supporting briefs; attending and providing direct assistance during Markman hearings, depositions, and inter partes review oral hearings; preparing invalidity and non-infringement contentions. Must be admitted to practice law in New York or another state bar in good standing and before the U.S.P.T.O. The ideal candidate will have excellent credentials and big law firm experience.

**RESPONSIBILITIES
** This position will represent clients in patent litigations in federal courts, the United States International Trade Commission, and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). The position also encompasses transactional work such as pre-litigation assessments in the Hatch-Waxman and biosimilar (BPCIA) context and high-level strategic due diligence assisting mergers & acquisitions, collaborations and other similar ventures.
