Registered vascular ultrasound technician needed for busy cardiology practice. Weekdays only, no weekends, holidays or call. Part Time employment 1-3 days per week. Responsibilities: Performs diagnostic non-invasive vascular studies including carotid and abdominal aorta ultrasound (AAA )screening as well as lower extremity PVR (pulsed volume recording) studies. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology required to assist physicians in preliminary interpretations of all studies performed. Able to recognize artifacts and technical problems and eliminate probable sources. Recognizes critical abnormalities and report to physician in a timely manner. Preforms all examinations according to department protocol.
Equipment in office: GW Vivid E9 and or GE Vivid T9
Required Credentials: Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RSV) is required.
Experience: Minimum 1 year experience performing vascular ultrasound.
