    JOB DESCRIPTION

    We are looking for a Project Engineer or Project Manager with advanced knowledge and experience developing and installing Vehicle Assembly Tooling, Conveyance, and automation for General Motors.

    Support equipment/tooling build process providing technical expertise to engineering teams and vendors including review of tooling designs, process flow, and zone layouts

    Support and counsel Supplier/Vendors on equipment fabrication, construction, integration, and start-up at vendors facilities

    Manage and oversee plant installation and successful launch of all assembly equipment including Tooling, Conveyance, Automation, and Robotics required for the production of high-quality vehicles

    Work closely with engineering resources, clients, fabricators, vendors, and plant personnel providing technical expertise and knowledge of General Motors engineering / equipment standards and practices

    Attend remote, video conference, and in-person meetings

    Do tooling systems design reviews and evaluations, review CAD Drawing and specification documents

    Assist with various schedules and Timelines, providing input and direction

    Travel to Build shop and Clients manufacturing facilities including local and out of state as required

    The ability to provide field support in some cases during weekends, shutdowns, and holidays

    REQUIREMENTS

    Minimum of 10 + years of Vehicle Assembly Manufacturing and Tooling Experience involved in General Motors Assembly Manufacturing Equipment Projects

    Minimum 5+ years' experience Leading or Managing General Motors Assembly Equipment Installation projects including new product launches providing technical direction and leadership

    BS with a major in engineering highly desired or equivalent training/experience

    Experience using MS Office (Word, Excel)

    Knowledge of CAD Systems and MS Project is a big plus

    Work from client Locations in Metro Detroit, other states, and possibly from the home office

    Must be able to travel up to 50% when required. Travel will be in Michigan, Ohio, and other States
