    Job Description

    Within the Vehicle Motion Division we design and develop state-of-the art safety and motion solutions for passenger cars, light trucks, and up to medium heavy truck. Vehicle Motion provides solutions for mobility through steering, braking, occupant safety, and vehicle dynamic sensors. Vehicle Motion is also a leader in the software and services that will support the future of Software Defined Vehicles

    We are seeking a Kettering Section B Co-op to join our team in the Plymouth, MI location. This Co-Op position is designed to provide hands-on learning and practical experience in a professional work environment, while contributing to departmental tasks and development projects. The role will involve tasks related to design, testing, development, and processes.

    This Co-Op position offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience and contribute to real-world engineering projects. If you are a motivated and enthusiastic engineering student looking to apply your skills in a professional setting, we encourage you to apply.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support design engineers in their daily responsibilities
    • Update drawings and conduct analyses for tolerances related to fit, form, and function
    • Following standard work instructions
    • Assist with CAD/CAE work
    • Update the Go Bench database
    • Contribute to ad-hoc projects
    • 3D Printing
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Currently enrolled with Kettering University
    • Pursuing a BS in Mechanical Engineering
    • Cumulative GPA minimum of 3.0
    • Minimum 18 years of age
    • Strong technical and analytical skills
    • Proficiency in CAD software
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
    • Strong communication and organizational skills
