  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    Prototype vehicle build technician focusing on but not limited to supporting the build, instrumentation and repair of all VM/NE-NA vehicle testing in support of Anti-Lock Brake system variants and Actuation applications.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Installation of all test data acquisition systems.
    • Installation and repair of all brake hardware and controls.
    • Suspension R&R. (shocks, springs)
    • Wire harness build. Diagnosis, Repair.
    • Complete understanding of vehicle wiring schematics along with the use of all electrical diagnostic tools.
    • Debug and trouble shoot various sensor and instrumentation issues.
    • Working knowledge of CAN communications.
    • Hydraulic line fabrication/bending and joining.
    • Vehicle wheel alignment.
    • Tire installation & balancing.
    • Fabrication (welding, cutting, bending).
    • Desktop computer skills with use of MS Office Suite
    • Support the transportation of prototype vehicles between various Bosch locations.

    Other Workplace Considerations:

    • Reaching & Lifting 50 - 125lbs. Routinely moving ballast, equipment, tires and rims.
    • Travel Expectation: Travel to off-site locations (flying/driving). Up to 3 weeks required annual travel, mostly during winter for Winter Testing in Baudette, MN.
    • Willing to work overtime, per business needs, including seasonally required overtime to support winter tests.
    • Willing to obtain (High-Low & Arial Platform) certification.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
    • 3+ years of vehicle instrumentation, build and testing experience.
    • Valid driver's license.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Associates Degree.
    • Fabrication skills (welding, machining, etc.).
    • Ability to read wiring diagrams (schematics).
    • EV Safety Certified.
    • ASM/ASE Certifications.
    • Familiar with facility processes and procedures.
    • Must be self motivated / starter.
    • Must be mechanically inclined.
    • Good general working knowledge of vehicles and equipment.
    • Available to work overtime.
    • Good writing, creative thinking, and verbal skills.
