    Vendor Management Consultant

    • Support the ongoing implementation of the vendor risk management (VRM) program to effectively handle vendor risks in alignment with internal policies and regulatory standards.
    • Establish a baseline for vendor risk by identifying potential exposure areas and aligning VRM strategies with the organization's goals and objectives.
    • Lead the evaluation of vendor risk through due diligence, develop mitigation plans, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to monitor vendor performance.
    • Work alongside Business, Procurement, Legal, and other teams to ensure that VRM requirements are clearly understood and timelines are managed effectively.
    • Assist in creating a communication and training plan to promote awareness and effective application of VRM.
    • Maintain workflow processes to ensure that data and system controls are sufficient, meet internal standards, and enhance current operations.
    • Enhance vendor risk reporting systems and track outcomes from vendor management initiatives.
    • Keep a schedule of ongoing and upcoming vendor due diligence reviews based on risk ratings and importance.
    • Provide visibility to business partners regarding existing and emerging risks.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related management field, such as supply chain management.
    • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in vendor risk management (experience in financial services is preferred).
    • Strong understanding of vendor risk management practices, including the lifecycle of risk identification, treatment, mitigation, acceptance, remediation, as well as inherent and residual risks.
    • Knowledge of laws, regulations, guidelines, and frameworks within the financial services sector that govern information security and risk management requirements.
    • Experience with risks associated with IT application development and infrastructure maintenance, IT security, business continuity and disaster recovery, and emerging technologies such as mobile platforms and cloud services.
    • Familiarity with ERP and CRM systems (Oracle, ServiceNow) and data visualization tools (Tableau).
    • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to oversee projects from inception to completion, including issue resolution.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, complemented by sound business judgment.
    • Capable of prioritizing tasks and performing with urgency in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and dynamic environment.
    • Proven ability to balance efficiency and scalability with client satisfaction and a high-touch service delivery approach.
    • Experience in influencing mid to senior-level executives and in building and maintaining effective working relationships across various partners.
