    Job Description

    JOB TITLE: PAYROLL DATA SPECIALIST/CONVERSION COORDINATOR DEPARTMENT: OPERATIONS FLSA STATUS: FULL TIME & EXEMPT

    REPORTS TO: VP OF CONVERSIONS

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Conversion Coordinator is responsible for converting client data from the existing system to the Prism database. You will be responsible for converting data from a wide variety of formats including text, and comma delimited data files. Activities include data analysis, determining business rules, programming and data verification. This position requires a detailed individual who is committed to providing the highest quality data conversions in the industry while meeting tight deadlines. You must have strong analytical skills and be very thorough and methodical.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Accurate and timely process payroll for designated clients
    • Process time sheets, validate payroll results, balance outbound files and generate reports
    • Process payroll by data entry, excel file import and other digital methods
    • Prepare off-cycle payrolls and manual checks as needed
    • Promptly respond to client inquiries regarding payroll, answer and resolve any and all questions and concerns that arise and if need be escalate questions to the leadership
    • Perform excel import of client information into Prism/HRP including new hires, terms and changes
    • Create detailed mapping between old data elements and new data elements
    • Contact clients to verify business rules and/or clarify data analysis
    • Identify problems and make recommendations on how to overcome the issue
    • Ensure that all data is migrated to Prism accurately
    • Perform data verification including tie out all balances to the existing system
    • Develop detailed plan for the live conversion; You will manage the live conversion including: pulling clients live data from the current system, running conversion programs, and verifying converted data
    • Provide reports demonstrating how we have tied balances to the old system
    • Provide support representative with a hand off document
    • Install or assist the support department to the converted data on client's database
    • Other duties as assigned

    • Thorough and a high attention to detail
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Accounting experience helpful
    • Payroll experience
    • Payroll tax experience
    • Troubleshooting skills or technical support skills
    • Excel proficiency
    • Benefits knowledge is a bonus

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 6 months payroll processing experience preferred
    • Previous tax experience preferred
    • PEO and/or Multi-state payroll experience preferred
    • Intermediate to strong skills in excel
    • Proficient with MS Office suite
    • Ability to type 35 WPM
    • Must be able to meet deadlines for multiple concurrent projects
    • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills as well as attention to detail
    • Team and Relationship Building: Ability to build and manage relationships in a cross-functional environment.
