Position Summary
A Millwork Carpenter performs a wide range of tasks related to crafting, finishing, and installing millwork such as molding, trim, and other detailed woodwork for building projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Interpreting blueprints, sketches, and building plans to meet clients' specifications.
- Fabricating, assembling, and installing custom millwork, including doors, windows, trim, and other architectural details.
- Using various hand and power tools (such as saws, routers, and sanders) to cut, shape, and finish woodwork.
- Applying finishes to millwork, such as stains, paints, and varnishes.
- Ensuring accuracy and quality through careful measurements and inspections.
- Repairing or replacing damaged millwork.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment, adhering to safety standards.
- Coordinating with other construction professionals, such as architects and contractors, to ensure project objectives are met.
Qualificaitons
- High School diploma desired but not required.
- 2-3 years of millwork experience, cabinet making is a plus.
