    POSITION SUMMARY:  The eMASS System Steward role is primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of a system record(s) in the eMASS GRC tool to take a system through the RMF steps into continuous monitoring. This role requires interaction with the Defense Health Agency (DHA) to establish and maintain Authority to Connect (ATC) agreements that support the Electronic Health Record Modernization solution. ATC packages require preparation of inventory records, security documentation and other evidence that meet DHA criteria. Responsibilities include registering a system, assigning user roles to generate an RMF Security Authorization Package, completing system-level information, managing the system's security categorization, creating POA&M Items, documenting Control Correlation Identifier (CCI) compliance and Control implementation status, uploading and managing artifacts, and initiating workflows and package submission. The majority of the work revolves around correctly documenting and maintaining the control and CCI entries and managing POA&M items.  Use your strong understanding of security controls and proper evidence of implementation to be successful in this position.  This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

    LOCATION(S): Anywhere, US. Candidates from HUBZones preferred. EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY: Eligible to work for any employer in the United States without requiring sponsorship. Sponsorship is not available currently. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION: BA or BS degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline and 5 years' experience in a professional work environment or 13 years of experience in a professional work environment lieu of education.

    CLEARANCE: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements.

    • Experience managing complex system records in the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) tool.
    • Experience with supporting system Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and creating artifacts, control implementation details, and POAMs.
    • Experience with Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM), RMF automation, and Comply to Connect.
    • Experience with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) security controls, the Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC) security documentation tool, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and security compliance processes.
    • Experience with Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and Federal Information System Controls Audit Manual (FISCAM) criteria.
    • Ability to facilitate meetings, analyze authorization documents and associated artifacts against authorization requirements to identify gaps, establish a schedule to address outstanding authorization requirements, and coordinate directly with system team stakeholders.

    ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • Experience with VA preferred. 
    • Public Trust clearance​ preferred.
