The Clinic:
Enchanted Mountains Urgent Veterinary Care is a fast-paced, privately owned urgent care practice serving the beautiful, affordable Southern Tier of Western New York. We are not your normal urgent care! At EMUVC, you will see a variety of cases from minor to complex with a typical caseload of 20-30 cases per shift. You will be supported by a staff of 7 LVTs, 3 receptionists, 2 assistants and a manager. Since our area does not have many vets, we see not just the typical urgent care type of problems, but also any type of case that would typically present to an emergency hospital. We treat them all but we are not an overnight practice, so no on-call or overnights! We are currently open from 10am-8pm 7 days a week (except Christmas and Thanksgiving) but with a third veterinarian, we would expand to 12 hours a day during the week and 14 hours on the weekends. The clinic is owned by Dr. Katie Gies, who has been practicing emergency medicine since 2006 and is happy to mentor.
