Armistead Avenue Veterinary Hospital is an AAHA-accredited small animal general practice in Hampton, Virginia with a focus on preventative medicine, urgent care and soft tissue surgery.
Armistead's team is extremely collaborative and supportive. Dr. Mike and Bev Silkey, our founders, are planning to retire soon and are searching for the right fit to carry on the healthy, family-like culture they've built.
Due to the supportive environment, a majority of doctors and support staff have been with the practice for multiple years. In fact, more than 10 employees have been with the practice for longer than a decade!

- Monday - Friday only; no weekends!
- Appointment-based model, NOT walk-in only. Electronic medical records transition complete
- We are searching for the best person for this phenomenal team, so schedule is very flexible - FT, PT, relief
- A board-certified surgeon and skilled ultrasonographer visit weekly to support the diagnostic and treatment strategies of the five dedicated veterinarians.

- 4 Licensed Veterinary Technicians with additional assistant currently pursuing licensure
- 12:00pm-2:00pm break from appointments M-F
What we are looking for:
- Experienced full-time, part-time or relief veterinarian

- Full-time base salary range 150-225k + optional production plan
- Commitment/relocation bonus up to 75k.

Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an AVMA accredited university upon hire
- Current DEA License or obtained upon hire
- Active Veterinary State License upon hire
