    We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a key member of our veterinary clinic, you will support our veterinarians in delivering high-quality care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting with medical procedures, patient care, client communication, and maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment. Must have at least 1-2 years hands on experience in clinic to be considered. Proficiency with venipuncture, catheter placement and client communication highly desired.

    Responsibilities:

    Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures.

    Collect and prepare lab samples (blood, urine, feces) for diagnostic testing.

    Administer medications, vaccinations, and other treatments under the supervision of the veterinarian.

    Perform basic lab tests, including urinalysis, fecal tests, and blood tests.

    Monitor and record vital signs, such as heart rate, temperature, and respiration of patients.

    Assist in preparing patients for surgery, including pre-operative care and anesthesia monitoring if applicable.

    Provide post-operative care and monitor the recovery of surgical patients.

    Educate clients on animal care, medication administration, and post-treatment care instructions.

    Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients.

    Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment.

    Assist with client communication, appointment scheduling, and front desk duties as needed.

    Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately during examinations and procedures.

    Stock and maintain inventory of medical supplies and medications.

    Ensure a calm and supportive environment for both animals and their owners.

    Qualifications:

    2 Years of previous experience in a veterinary clinic as a veterinary assistant Required.

    Strong animal handling skills and comfort working with a pets.

    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

    Excellent communication and customer service skills.

    Ability to work as part of a team and independently when needed.

    Basic knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures.

    Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
