We are a busy small animal practice with 7 vets who treat dogs, cats, and exotics including ferrets, guinea pigs, rabbits, chinchillas, snakes, lizards, and birds.
We are a privately owned hospital who have continued to grow in our community since we opened in 2012 - we are currently expanding our building which we are very excited about!
Duties of this position include assisting with animal restraint, cleaning, laundry, stocking supplies, and pack preparation. This is a great position for someone who is looking to get hands-on training and to learn more knowledge about the veterinary industry. We encourage learning, training, and personal growth.
Ideal candidates will have previous veterinary or animal handling experience and possess an excellent work ethic along with a pleasant, compassionate, and professional demeanor. We have a great team of staff and so we are looking for a candidate who is reliable, kind, compassionate, energetic, and gets along well with others. We have zero tolerance for any toxic behavior. We create long-lasting relationships with our clients and their pets so it is important for us to hire a candidate who is friendly and welcoming. With a supportive and team-based focus, we are passionate and dedicated to the highest level of patient and client care.
We have a unique schedule that offers a balance between personal and work life. We operate on a set schedule, consisting of three 12-13 hour shifts per week. We have two teams that alternate their schedules weekly, Team A and Team B. For example, on week 1, Team A works on Monday, Friday, and Saturday from 7 am to 7:30 pm, and the following week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with the same hours. On week 1, Team B works on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and the following week they work Monday, Friday, and Saturday. These schedules continue to alternate each week.
