ABOUT THE POSITION The Veterinary Practice Manager position is a supervisory position enlisted to provide a variety of analytical, evaluative, advisory, and technical functions in support of driving revenue to Maricamp Animal Hospital through the development and optimization of processes. Additionally, this role is intended to train, lead, and manage the team members in the medical department to achieve optimal performance success within their roles at Maricamp Hospital.

OBJECTIVES
Operational Effectiveness (50%)
Develop and implement strategies aimed at increasing practice revenue, improving profit margins, and optimizing overall financial health through effective pricing, service offerings, and resource management.
Create and execute comprehensive business plans focused on long-term financial growth, including market analysis, service diversification, and client retention strategies.
Lead efforts to streamline practice operations, improve productivity, and reduce expenses to enhance profitability without compromising service quality.
Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and laws. This includes but is not limited to OSHA, DEA, EEOC, ADA, and the Department of Labor.
Implement initiatives to increase client satisfaction, retention, and referrals, contributing to sustained revenue growth and enhanced client loyalty.
Maintain awareness of industry trends and competitive pricing strategies, ensuring the practice remains competitive in the market while maximizing profit opportunities.
Team Management (50%)
Provide strong leadership to the practice team, fostering a results-oriented environment where financial goals related to revenue, expenses, and profit growth are consistently achieved.
Work in conjunction with Leaders to oversee the continued education and training of medical staff while evaluating progress and performance to ensure the team members’ success and alignment within the company
Monitor and report on the medical team’s progress of metrics to Leadership, ensuring each position is keeping and reaching daily, weekly & monthly targets and goals
Quality control to ensure the medical team’s accountability to their job duties and adherence to policies and procedures through report analysis, performance reviews, and communicative feedback.
COMPETENCIES
Understands the ethical requirements of the veterinary practice, as outlined in the AVMA and CVPM code of ethics, and ensures that professional and support staff fulfill their ethical responsibilities
Proven track record of implementing strategies to increase revenue, reduce expenses, and improve profit margins. Experience in developing and executing plans that positively impact the practice’s bottom line.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to navigate relationships with clients, co-workers, and patients
Requires ability in problem-solving - decisions involving veterinary expertise will be reserved for the practitioners.
Demonstrates initiative and self-motivation to follow through on all responsibilities in a timely manner.
Strong computer skills and highly proficient in MS Office Suite, Windows, and Google Suite with experience using Veterinary EMR software.
Ability to direct, guide, and assist a team for operational cohesiveness
Proven ability to maintain professionalism through implementing mission, vision, and core values and ensuring the team’s compliance with the same standard.
Experience monitoring and assessing the performance of your own work, other individuals, and the practice to make improvements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 2 years of management/operations experience in the veterinary industry (required)
Knowledge of veterinary medicine and customer service best practices in the veterinary industry (required)
Knowledge of financial reporting and analysis (required)
Bilingual English & Spanish is a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing, sitting, or walking
Must be able to lift at least 25lbs
Travel Required: Up to 15% for Continuing Education & Training

Business Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-6pm and Saturday, 8am-1pm (this role is typically M-F)

Compensation:
Salary: $60,000-$80,000 Base with 10% Accunal Incentive Bonus
Ability to commute/relocate:
Ocala, FL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
