Are you a people person and an animal lover? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments, love juggling tasks, and want to end each day knowing you helped save lives (and maybe pet a few puppies along the way)? If so, we’ve got the purr-fect role for you! (Yes, there will be cheesy puns. It’s part of the charm.)
We’re searching for a warm, reliable, and enthusiastic Vet Receptionist to be the welcoming face/voice of our shelter and clinic. This is more than a front desk job. It’s a chance to be part of a passionate team that’s making a difference for cats and dogs in Forsyth County. You’ll be the first smile visitors see, the friendly voice on the phone, and a vital part of our mission.
Your Schedule:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
8:00 am - 4:30 pm
What You'll Be Doing:
Greeting everyone with a smile - adopters, volunteers, clinic clients, and visitors
Answering phones and helping folks get the answers (or furry friends) they need
Scheduling appointments for our clinic
Processing adoptions and check-outs (cue happy dances!)
Handling payments and keeping records tidy
Helping keep our lobby clean, calm, and welcoming
Posting occasional social updates to share our latest furry success stories
Pitching in with cleaning and office upkeep (teamwork makes the dream work)
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in the veterinary or animal rescue industry is preferred
1+ year of front office or customer service experience
Compassionate, mission-driven, and respectful toward pets and their people—you care deeply about making a difference
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a strong commitment to outstanding client service, both in person and over the phone
Ability to self-manage and complete tasks without constant supervision
Experience with multi-line phone systems and scheduling appointments
Tech-savvy and comfortable with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and social media
Detail-oriented, dependable, and highly organized
Familiarity with animal medical terms and processes is a plus
Valid driver’s license and authorization to work in the U.S. required
Why You’ll Love It Here: At HSFC, we’re a crew of rescue-loving, community-building, tail-wagging champions who believe in doing good work and having fun while we do it. We support each other, we celebrate wins big and small, and we love welcoming new teammates who bring heart and hustle to our mission. Oh, and did we mention? We pay every Friday. No waiting for payday here. If you're looking for a role where no two days are the same and your work truly matters, you’ve just found it.
