    Are you a friendly, organized, and compassionate individual who loves animals and people? Our busy veterinary hospital is looking for a Veterinary Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our practice!

    About the Role:

    As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be an essential part of our team, ensuring smooth daily operations while providing excellent customer service to our clients and their pets.

    Responsibilities:

    • Greet clients warmly and provide exceptional customer service

    • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage the appointment calendar

    • Check clients in and out, process payments, and maintain accurate records

    • Educate clients on hospital policies, services, and pet care basics

    • Handle prescription refills and relay messages between clients and veterinary staff

    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area

    • Assist in handling and restraining pets if needed

    • Process medical records, faxes, and emails efficiently

    • Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to ensure a seamless client experience

    What We’re Looking For:

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment

    • A positive, team-oriented attitude with a passion for animals and their owners

    • Experience in a veterinary or medical setting is a plus, but not required

    • Proficiency with computers and appointment scheduling software (experience with veterinary software is a bonus)

    • Ability to remain calm and professional in emotionally charged situations

    Qualifications

    Two or more years of customer service experience is preferred

    Previous experience as a receptionist is preferred

    Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service

    Strong work ethic and positive attitude

    Familiar with computers and scheduling software

    Excellent multi-tasking skills
