POSITION SUMMARY
The Sales and Operations Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth and operational efficiency at Maricamp Animal Hospital. This individual will focus heavily on sales performance, including coaching the medical team on client communication, treatment plan conversions, and delivering consistent, measurable results. In addition to managing day-to-day operations, this position is critical in aligning sales processes with business objectives, identifying opportunities to increase average client transaction value, and ensuring the hospital operates efficiently, profitably, and in alignment with company values.

OBJECTIVES
Revenue Growth and Sales Enablement (60%)
Develop and implement sales strategies that drive conversion of treatment plan estimates into approved services and surgeries.
Actively coach and train medical team members in effective client communication and consultative selling to improve case acceptance rates and average transaction value.
Track, report, and analyze sales-related KPIs (e.g., conversion rates, transaction value, client retention) to identify coaching opportunities and improvement areas.
Conduct regular reviews of treatment plan presentation techniques to ensure clarity, compliance, and consistency.
Design and lead sales challenges, incentive programs, and recognition strategies to promote a high-performance sales culture.
Operations Management and Optimization (30%)
Streamline workflows and operational processes to improve efficiency, reduce bottlenecks, and enhance service delivery.
Monitor expenses, staffing, and scheduling to support profitability while maintaining high-quality patient care.
Oversee compliance with all regulatory and company policies including OSHA, DEA, EEOC, ADA, and the Department of Labor.
Collaborate with other department leaders to ensure synergy between client services, medical operations, and business goals.
Team Leadership and Development (10%)
Lead, mentor, and hold accountable the medical team in achieving individual and departmental sales and performance targets.
Provide ongoing training and development in both sales and operations
Create a culture of accountability, ownership, and excellence rooted in company core values.
COMPETENCIES
Proven track record in sales leadership, preferably within healthcare, veterinary, or service-oriented environments.
Strong understanding of sales psychology, customer decision-making, and communication strategies that drive service acceptance.
High level of business acumen with the ability to analyze P&L statements and use data to inform sales strategy.
Experience coaching diverse teams with empathy, motivation, and a results-driven approach.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in explaining value-based treatment plans to clients.
Demonstrates initiative, discipline, and the ability to lead by example while enforcing accountability and standards.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and veterinary EMR systems (e.g., Cornerstone, AVImark, ezyVet, etc.).
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3 years of sales experience (required)
Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory role (required), veterinary industry preferred
Knowledge of veterinary medicine and customer service best practices
Bilingual English & Spanish is a plus

Business Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-6pm and Saturday, 8am-1pm (this role is typically M-F)

Salary: $50,000-$70,000 Base with 10% Annual Incentive Bonus
