    Job Summary

    We are seeking a compassionate Veterinarian Technician to join our team of superheros. Animal Hospital of Los Lunas 's veterinary technicians are by far second to none in the care and compassion they demonstrate with our patients and clients alike! Multitasking extraordinaries, they handle everything from walk-in, life threatening emergencies to the "everyday" all important well pet visits where advocating for our patients and providing education to our clients positively impacts the quality of life of each and every pet! In addition, their knowledge and experience with equipment, surgical prep, anesthesia, radiographs, and patient care helps keep our hospital running smoothly.     Responsibilities

    Provide veterinary care by assisting with examinations, surgeries, and treatments under the supervision of a veterinarian

    Administer medications and vaccinations, and monitor patient recovery post-anesthesia

    Perform animal catheterization, restraint, and handling patients with a focus on safety and comfort

    Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper sterilization of instruments

    Educate pet owners on animal care and health management

    Collaboration with the entire veterinary team

    Qualifications

    Proven veterinary experience in a clinical setting

    RVT preferably, but not required

    Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal physiology

    Proficiency in animal handling, restraint, and surgery and dental assistance

    Skilled client communication

    Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a busy environment

    Patience and a love for animals
