  • Responsibilities

    We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. We offer a flexible schedule of 4-5 days/week. The ideal candidate will be experienced and can train other technicians as a lead technician. Responsibilities: • Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures. • Perform diagnostic tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and radiographs. • Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian. • Monitor and maintain patient records, including medical history and treatment plans. • Provide nursing care to hospitalized animals, including monitoring vital signs and administering treatments. • Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sterilization of instruments and equipment. • Support the front desk staff with client communication and appointment scheduling as needed. • Stay current with veterinary practices and continuing education. Qualifications: • Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology or equivalent experience is preferred. • Certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT) is preferred. • Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital is required. • Proficiency in animal restraint for physical examinations is required. • Medical mathematic skills to compute drug dosages and fluid rates accurately is required. • Experience in monitoring patient vitals during anesthetic procedures is required. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required. • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment is required. • Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards animals and their owners is required. • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends is required Compensation: $16 - $19 hourly
