    Job Description

    ** Job duties include, but are not limited to:**

    Animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.

    Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    ** We’re looking for:**

    • Minimum of two years experience as veterinary technician. LVT or currently enrolled in an LVT program preferred.
    • Ability to perform blood draws, place IV catheters, cystocentesis are a must.
    • Experience in exam rooms, surgery, dentals, dental radiographs, radiographs and associated technical skills are a must.
    • Must have a strong knowledge of patient medications, administration, contraindication and side effects. As well as the ability to calculate drugs, solutions and dilutions.
    • Ability to create, monitor, and maintain detailed/accurate patient records.
    • Experience using Cornerstone software is preferred.
    • Taking initiative to keep the hospital clean and safe especially during down time.
    • Must be able to reliably get to work on time.
    • Proactive mindset, with a strong ability to anticipate our doctors' needs.
    • An ability to effectively educate our clients about their pet’s health.
    • Effective Communication Skills are Paramount with clients, doctors and coworkers.
    • Ability/Desire to Practice Stress-Free Pet Care.
    • Empathy and compassion for our patients and their owners is a must.

    ** Pay Range:** Up to $26 based on experience
