    Rayford Animal Wellness Clinic (RAWC) is a high volume, fast-paced, three doctor, full service veterinary clinic located in Spring, TX. We offer affordable, quality veterinary care for our clients and patients. We are looking for another experienced RAWCstar (rockstar) technician to join our team.

    Our veterinary technicians play a vital role in the practice. A well qualified technician is expected to be proficient in the following skills:

    Obtain good patient history

    Venipuncture - jugular, cephalic, lateral/medial saphenous veins

    Catheter placement

    Cystocentesis

    Knowledge of vaccines, medications, and medical conditions (i.e. diabetes, thyroid disease, pancreatits, etc.)

    Animal restraint (must be able to lift up to 50 pounds)

    Radiology

    Vital signs

    Drug calculations

    Administration of medications and vaccines

    Emergency triage and care

    Assist in surgery

    Laboratory tests (blood work, urinalysis, cytology, etc.)

    Communicate and educate clients

    Time management

    Maintain medical records (filling out SOAPs) - our technicians complete most of the SOAPs

    Other duties to include, cleaning, stocking, and helping the team when needed

    Friendly and compassionate towards clients and fellow RAWCstars via all forms of communication (in person, over the phone/text, and e-mail).

    Team-player. We expect a teammate that enjoys being part of a team and wants to make the clinic a better place for our patients, our clients, and staff.

    Remain calm, efficient, and professional during a medical crisis and with upset clients.

    Schedule:

    Full-time - 40 hours per week

    Four day work week at 10 hours per day

    Hours are typically 8am - 6pm but can vary. Must be flexible with schedule.
