We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team for our newly added Urgent Care hours. The ideal candidate will be experienced and can train other technicians. The position is part-time. Our urgent care operates on Friday 4pm-12am and on Saturday from 4pm-12am. Opportunities for overnight hours are also available. Responsibilities: • Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures. • Perform diagnostic tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and radiographs. • Administer medication as directed by the veterinarian. • Monitor and maintain patient records, including medical history and treatment plans. • Provide nursing care to hospitalized animals, including monitoring vital signs and administering treatment. • Educate pet owners on proper animal care. • Support the front desk staff with client communication and appointment scheduling as needed. • Stay current with veterinary practices and continuing education. Qualifications: • 2+ years of experience as a Veterinary Technician required. • Experience in Urgent/Emergency Care required. • Licensed Veterinary Technician preferred. • Excellent communication skills. • Customer service skills. Compensation: $23 - $25 hourly
