    Job Description

    The Inside Sales Manager facilitates the achievement of Vetoquinol USA’s growth initiatives by successfully managing the Inside Sales Team and a lead generation team. From overseeing sales personnel to setting sales targets, the primary role of Inside Sales Managers is to ensure the success of a company’s inside sales team. Directly responsible for hiring, training, and management of the professional development of an inside sales team. The Inside Sales Manager will set sales goals, track sales, produce sales reports, complete monthly forecasting, and set department budgets.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    Team Management

    • Conducts all recruiting, training, supervising, and evaluating department staff members.
    • Continuously improves the department’s function, including the development of staff by providing effective coaching and feedback as well as appropriate delegation to staff members.

    Sales Leadership

    • Coaches their assigned staff in to meet inside sales team goals and objectives
    • Perform regular reviews of sales performance for members of the inside sales team
    • Identifies growth opportunities within existing and target accounts.
    • Properly utilizes computer systems to leverage business intelligence into the sales process
    • Shadows inside sales representatives regularly to assess the sales techniques and capabilities of their staff, and to provide coaching for improvement.
    • Supports and executes Vetoquinol’s sales and marketing activities.
    • Engages in the process of forecasting, establishing, and achieving sales and profitability budgets for their assigned responsibility.

    Communication

    • Properly communicates internally and externally, including prompt reviews and replies to email, voice mail, and phone calls
    • Relays all competitive information to company management
    • Meet all required deadlines and proper follow-up and follow through on requests assigned or asked of the Inside Sales Manager

    General/Administrative

    • Supports the company vision and mission, and demonstrates the corporate core values in all professional activities.
    • Complies with all OSHA safety requirements, work rules, and regulations.
    • Compiles and maintains all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
    • Follows systems and procedures outlined in company manuals.
    • All other duties as requested by management.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Formal Education and Certification

    • Four-year college degree from an accredited institution in a related field of study
    • 5-7 years sales management experience may substitute for college degree
    • Knowledge and Experience
    • Minimum of 5-7 years of business-to-business sales experience
    • Minimum 2-3 years of sales team management experience preferred
    • Knowledge of the animal health industry is highly preferable 
    • Computer skills and proficiency
