Vettanna is seeking a CA/CFA with 2+ years experience to work a full time project with our client eBay. You will be a full time W2 employee of Vettanna with benefits. Job is listed as remote. Most Temporary Workers on eBay projects go into the office 3 days/wk (Tues-Thurs). Ability to be fully remote will be clarified by hiring manager.
The Strategic Pricing Team within Pricing and Monetization is responsible for defining the vision for how our client monetizes large merchants -- balancing growth, customer satisfaction, and financial objectives within a challenging and dynamic competitive e-commerce landscape. The team identifies and implements opportunities to accelerate commerce on the multi-billion dollar US and CA platforms with the goal of benefiting our buyers and sellers through bringing new and unique inventory to the site.
We are seeking a Business Operations Specialist on our North American Pricing and Monetization team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide insights for pricing decisions. Your responsibilities include building the management reporting that sets the foundations for all strategy and measurement of our sellers
You'll be responsible for measuring the impact of strategies by gathering and visualizing data, storytelling through presentations, collaborating with experts in areas like technology and influencing senior leadership on critical decisions.
You'll be conducting thorough quality assurance of implementation in a methodical manner and resolving any discrepancies. Your contribution will be pivotal in ensuring the precision, efficiency, and seamless integration of pricing strategies across eBay's global e-commerce platform.
You'll work with tools like SQL to query data, use spreadsheets to organize it, and slides to present it, along with a number of other modern analytics tools.
Responsibilities:
• Performance management of sellers through the creation and maintenance of management reporting
• Build targeted insights to inform the development of new seller offers
• Lead the implementation of pricing strategies within eBay's pricing engine
• Conduct testing and review of pricing configurations to verify accuracy and functionality
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues identified during the pricing system implementation
• Conduct audits of pricing data to verify accuracy and compliance with established pricing guidelines
• Effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders regarding pricing system changes, updates, and issue resolutions
Qualifications:
• 2+ years experience in operations, ideally in pricing operations, system implementation, or related roles in the financial services industry
• CA, CFA preferred
• Experience in coding and/or data visualization (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau)
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Accounting/ Finance, Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering or related quantitative field
• Familiarity with business intelligence visualization tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective cross-functional teamwork
