HCT seeks an experienced financial leader to serve as the Interim Vice President of Corporate Finance for a 500+ bed hospital in Illinois. This position will oversee and be accountable for all activities of the Corporate Finance departments of 2 hospital locations, which includes:
- Accounting operations, financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and audit schedules.
- Reimbursement. Contractual allowance calculations, third party reserves, Medicare/Medicaid/BCBS cost reports, GME reimbursement, revenue budgets, maximum revenue opportunities within Medicare and Medicaid regulations and managed care contracts.
- Financial Systems, Fund Accounting, Fixed Assets, and University Financial Affairs.
- Taxation, Compliance Reporting, Cashiers, Accounts Payable, Payroll and External Audit.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree required in Accounting/Finance or Business. MBA Preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience as a senior financial executive in a healthcare organization is required, preferably at an academic medical center. Must have a good understanding of the flow of funds between research, education and the clinical enterprise.
- Certifications: CPA or MBA required.
