SUMMARY: The Vice President Human Resources is responsible for planning and directing human resource policies, objectives, and initiatives for the company including talent management/ acquisition, training, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and performance management.
** RESPONSIBILITIES**
Lead the day-to-day HR operations, including overseeing the maintenance and optimization of the HR information system.
Manage and lead the HR team, fostering a positive and high-performing work environment
Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of existing federal, state, and municipal laws/regulations.
Oversee talent acquisition, development, and retention, ensuring the organization has the right people in the right roles.
Manage employee relations, address employee concerns, and ensure a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends, measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives, and report to senior management.
Work closely with executive team to align HR initiatives with business needs.
Own the compensation process, including working directly with Compensation Committee to regularly review executive pay practices, developing retention schemes for key employees, directing the annual compensation process, managing executive offers, and ensuring market comparability.
Oversee corporate development needs and requirements at all levels, identifying gaps and opportunities to help shape learning strategies that support and advance the employee professional journey (focus on people management and early career professionals).
Direct the organization's benefits programs and budget, including health, dental, and vision plans.
Conduct regular reviews of benefits offerings to ensure competitiveness and cost effectiveness
Leads talent management and employee engagement processes and focuses on staffing, retention, compliance, and employee satisfaction. This includes implementing employee recognition programs, gathering employee feedback, supporting managers in conducting performance evaluation, and creating policies that foster a positive work environment.
Coordinate with business leadership to understand staffing needs, prospective openings, and position requirements; forecast changes in staffing and maintain movement in the talent pipeline to maximize long-term productivity.
