This position would require a candidate who resides or is willing to relocate to the Philadelphia area. Responsibilities: The Vice President of Corporate Accounting reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for ensuring the company’s financial health through managing the corporate accounting team, assisting with budget and forecast preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. This position will oversee the corporate hotel accounting team. Primary responsibilities: • Lead accounting department, including hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating department staff. • Implement technologies to gain efficiency and improve the accuracy of financial reporting. • Implement and streamline standard operating procedures for the department. • Identify accounting and reporting weaknesses, and implement solutions to ensure credibility of financial reporting. • Ensure timely preparation of financial statements. • Direct property budgeting, goal-setting, cash-flow management, and monthly internal reporting. • Maintain covenant compliance, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting. • Assist in refinancing efforts and evaluate financing opportunities. • Lead and/or assist with special projects, including asset management. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. • Minimum of 10 years of progressive hotel and corporate experience. • Strong leadership and organizational skills. • Knowledge of departmental and hotel operations. • Possess excellent administrative and communication skills, both verbal and written. • Experience in exercising discretion and judgment in evaluating situations and making sound decisions. • Proficiency in financial software and systems. Must be an advanced user of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. • M3 experience preferred • Experience in lender and banking relationships. • Demonstrated ability in leading, managing, and training a decentralized team.
