    Position Summary:
    Evercrisp is seeking a dynamic and visionary Vice President of Translational Biology to lead our efforts in translating scientific discoveries into therapeutic breakthroughs. This leader will drive the biological strategy underpinning our receptor-targeted genomic medicine platform, with a strong emphasis on translational models, pharmacology, and biomarker development to support IND-enabling studies and early clinical development. The VP will shape the biology function at the interface of discovery and development, guiding candidate selection and providing critical insights into human disease biology, patient stratification, and clinical response prediction.

    Key Responsibilities: _
    _
    _Translational and Scientific Leadership
    _ · Develop and lead a comprehensive translational biology strategy that supports effective progression of therapeutic candidates from discovery to clinic.
    · Ensure that translational insights inform target selection, therapeutic design, and biomarker strategies across the pipeline.

    _Model Development and Biomarker Strategy
    _ · Oversee the development and validation of in vitro and in vivo models that reflect human disease mechanisms and support predictive translation.
    · Lead the identification and development of pharmacodynamic, predictive, and efficacy biomarkers to guide candidate nomination and clinical development.

    _Preclinical and IND-Enabling Support
    _ · Design and implement preclinical studies that support IND-enabling activities, with clear data packages informing dose, safety, and clinical hypotheses.
    · Partner with internal teams and external consultants to ensure scientific readiness and alignment for regulatory interactions and documentation.

    _Cross-Functional and Strategic Collaboration
    _ · Serve as a key member of the R&D leadership team, working closely with Computational Biology, Protein Sciences, and Chemistry to drive integrated strategies.
    · Provide translational expertise to guide therapeutic program prioritization, risk mitigation strategies and feasibility assessments.

    _Team Leadership and Culture
    _ · Build and lead a high-performing translational biology team encompassing cell and molecular biology and in vivo animal models and pharmacology.
    · Foster a culture of scientific rigor, innovation, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration.

    _External Scientific Engagement
    _ · Represent Evercrisp in scientific and partnering forums, cultivating relationships with academic and industry collaborators to advance external innovation.

    **Qualifications:
    ** · PhD in Biology, Pharmacology, Translational Medicine, or related field; postdoctoral and industry experience in translational biology or genetic medicines preferred.
    · 15+ years of industry experience, including significant leadership roles in translational biology or related functions advancing therapeutics toward clinical development.
    · Proven track record in developing translational models, biomarkers, and PK/PD strategies to support clinical candidate advancement.
    · Deep expertise in disease biology, pharmacology, and genetic or RNA-based therapeutic platforms.
    · Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and integrating discovery with development.
    · Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at both scientific and executive levels.
