Vice President of Operations, Midwest Region
The Vice President of Operations is responsible for upholding the values of our organization while leading total business operations to deliver outstanding results as measured by KPIs. Duties include consulting with senior leadership to determine business goals and initiatives, visiting with General Managers to align on company and brand needs, and reviewing operational results to collaborate on strategic direction to further the organization’s success. As a key leader within the organization, a Vice President of Operations is tasked with overseeing eight to 12 hotels of various brand families within three to five states. This requires having extensive knowledge of the hotel industry, finances and employee relations while understanding and striving to meet ZMC Hotels strategic goals by;
Hiring, developing and retaining General Managers as business leaders
Providing strategic oversight and measurement against KPIs in culinary, restaurant and banquet operations to deliver outstanding food and beverage
Budgeting by hotel for a geographical region, including monitoring and controlling costs
Working closely with Human Resources to support culture and protocols
Guiding, directing and evaluating the work of General Managers
Collaboratively creating and implementing annual strategic plans
Leveraging sales and revenue management to improve ranking in the competitive field
Asset preservation, including tackling unforeseen issues and troubleshooting challenges
Representing the company for external and internal events
Monitoring the competitive landscape and attending industry events to stay abreast of new initiatives
Identifying, training and developing department heads within each hotel for future growth and promotion within
