    Job Summary:
    The Vice President of Operations is a key driver of our company's success, overseeing critical aspects of our operations including a tireless commitment to operational excellence, process safety/fleet management, profitability, service delivery execution, and capacity planning/hiring. This person must be customer focused and willing to establish/maintain industry standards. He/she will report directly to the president and play a vital role in shaping and executing the company’s operational strategies to ensure efficiency, safety, profitability, and providing an exceptional customer experience with an unwavering commitment to perform at the highest industry standards.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with the company's vision, mission, and objectives.

    • Drive initiatives to optimize processes, enhance productivity, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

    • Manage the company's fleet operations, including maintenance, compliance, and optimization to support operational efficiency.

    • Analyze operational performance metrics and financial data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.

    • Implement strategies to improve profitability while maintaining quality standards and customer satisfaction.

    • Ensure the timely execution of service delivery and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, efficiency, and responsiveness.

    • Mentoring direct reports to develop leadership skills, communication, and other technical capabilities.

    • Conduct and direct analysis of key financial ratios. The position is responsible for the financial success of each branch.

    • Forecast resource requirements and develop strategies for capacity planning to meet current and future business demands.

    • Lead recruitment efforts and talent acquisition strategies to build a skilled and motivated workforce.

    • Develop talent across departments/branches to enhance succession planning.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field.

    • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations management, preferably in Moving and Logistics Industries.

    • Inherent and proactive leadership style that sets the course for long-term success.

    • Proven experience managing/leading multiple locations with varying operational dynamics.

    • Industry focus preferred but not essential:

      • Final mile delivery.

      • Local and interstate transportation.

      • Household goods, commercial, and O/I industry experience.

      • Asset based logistics.

    • Demonstrated expertise in LMA (Lead + Manage = Accountability), process safety, fleet management, profitability analysis, and service delivery optimization.

    • Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with a proven track record of driving operational excellence and achieving business objectives.

    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve results.

    • Sound decision-making, with a focus on data-driven analysis and problem-solving.

    • Experience with EOS preferred.

  • Compensation
    $140,000 per year
