Our client a leading supplement contract manufacturing company is seeking an experienced VP of Product Development. This executive leadership position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of product development within a dietary supplement manufacturing environment, ensuring the highest standards of quality, innovation, and operational excellence.

**This is an in office role in Atlanta, Georgia

Key Responsibilities

• Product Formulation & Flavor Development
  Develop and refine product formulations to achieve optimal quality, taste, cost efficiency, and nutritional value. Identify and implement cost-saving measures within formulations, including minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
• Program Management
  Oversee the entire product development process, including setting timelines, managing budgets, allocating resources, and tracking key performance metrics to ensure project success.
• Commercialization
  Lead the scale-up process to ensure products are ready for full-scale manufacturing. Coordinate with manufacturing and quality teams to guarantee smooth product launches and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Marketing & Innovation
  Drive marketing initiatives to enhance product visibility and sales. Monitor market trends and consumer preferences to inform product development and innovation strategies.
• Customer Engagement
  Represent the company in customer meetings, such as Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), sharing insights on market trends and product innovations tailored to key clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Nutritional Science, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in product development within the nutraceutical or a closely related industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated success in developing and launching innovative products that meet market and consumer needs.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effective collaboration across all organizational levels.

Compensation: $190,000-210,000 plus full benefits
