Vice President of Quality - Automotive Stamping - Base Salary to 170k/year - Detroit, MI
Our client, a national leader in automotive stamping, is seeking a Vice President of Quality to oversee all Quality Functions including training, complex problem-solving, managing customer escalations and development of Quality staff. In this role, the VP of Quality will develop and deliver robust training to all personnel, as well as, work closely with the leadership & management team to improve overall Quality strategies.
Create reporting as required such as management review, supplier and customer evaluations, Internal and External part inspections and Corrective Actions
Manage all customer quality requirements and quality functions
Manage all internal & external inspection functions
Lead all quality-based discussions with Clients
Oversee all metrology functions and responsibilities and the upkeep and maintenance of fixtures & measurement devices
Oversight of QMS
Ensure IATF compliance
Implement robust quality processes to ensure timely delivery of compliant products & services
Manage the APQP Processes & Functions- involving Pre-Production Parts, Production Parts, Service Parts, and Engineering Changes made to Parts.
Review customer prints, specifications, requirements, and communications
Share customer information with internal, cross-functional parties to assure customer compliance and facilitate cross-functional collaboration supporting Program Management, Product Engineering, and Operations to achieve product and program conformance on a
Part pre-launch through Part-launch APQP basis.
Qualifications:
Four-year College Degree, preferably in Engineering
10+ Years of Quality Experience
Trained in SPC concepts and application
Experience as a Lead Auditor
5+ Years of Automotive Experience
Knowledgeable in Automotive Supplier requirements
5+ Years of Hands-on Management Experience
Compensation:
Compensation for this role is comprised of a base salary up to 170k/year, plus an annual bonus and vehicle allowance. Our client also offers comprehensive health benefits and 401k with a company match.
