    Summary The pursuing firm is seeking a senior leader for its Structural Engineering business sector in the telecommunication, energy, and utility verticals. The ideal candidate will strategically complement existing leadership and better position the pursuing firm for its next phase of growth through the strengthening of current industry contacts, recruitment efforts, technical breadth, operational strategy, and business acumen.

    Vice President Responsibilities

    Accountable for the fiscal responsibility and sound financial management through the development, recognition, and implementation of practices that increase revenues and decrease costs as well as driving revenue generation through client development and retention.

    Evaluate existing workflows and processes and determine which require documentation, cross-training, redesign, or automation.

    Maximize utilization of existing resources, equipment, and personnel, leading change as necessary

    Lead the formulation and implementation of a strategic plan that guides the direction of the department and achieves the department’s financial initiatives

    Recruiting, managing, and retaining department personnel, including ensuring that their team has the right processes and tools to be successful

    Manage department personnel and leads them to success through the implementation of innovative and efficient procedures and processes

    Oversees the development of standard operating procedures for Structural Engineering services

    Serve as a senior technical resource for department personnel

    Perform quality inspection of department deliverables, providing coaching/training to teams as necessary to improve delivered product

    Develops client relationships, client retention practices, and grows/maintains revenue streams

    Maintaining awareness of both the external and internal competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, and new industry developments and standards

    Computer Software Experience

    In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and advanced Excel functions is required

    Experience with Structural Design software TNX Tower, Risa 3D, EnerCalc, etc. is required

    Functional proficiency with AutoCAD is preferred

    Experience/Minimum Requirements

    Minimum of ten (10) years’ progressive experience and demonstrated proficiency in the structural engineering field, focusing on telecommunication structures

    Knowledge of bolted and welded connection design

    Knowledge of tower hardware and components, including the examination of probable cost relating to the specification of such equipment

    Knowledge of tower reinforcement/erection and tower construction practices

    Minimum of 4 years’ experience in client management, client-facing project management

    Professional Engineer (PE) certification that is current and registered in at least one state

    Educational Requirements Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering or a related field from an ABET accredited institution.
