Responsibilities: • Meet with clients face-to-face, whether in person or at detention centers, to evaluate their legal needs and devise the most effective strategy for their case. • Manage a diverse caseload that encompasses both misdemeanors and felonies, overseeing each case from its initiation to its conclusion. • Represent clients at hearings and trials held in Northern Virginia state courts. • Advocate for clients by drafting, submitting, and presenting court motions, memoranda, and various legal documents before state judges in Northern Virginia. Qualifications: • Must be admitted to the Virginia State Bar to practice law in Virginia. • Should have a minimum of 3 years of criminal defense experience, including handling felony cases and conducting jury trials. • Demonstrated ability to handle both state and federal criminal cases effectively. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for effective client representation both in and out of the courtroom. Compensation: $100,000+ annually
