    Job Description

    _ POSITION PURPOSE_

    The Virtual Design and Construction (VDC)/Building Information Modeling (BIM) Manager will lead the virtual design and construction process for our mission-critical data center projects. Managing BIM workflows, ensuring coordination between all trades, and optimizing design and construction processes through advanced modeling technologies. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality, hyperscale data center facilities for leading clients.

    _ RESPONSIBILITIES_

    BIM Management and Coordination:

    • Develop and maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEP) to align with project requirements and client standards.
    • Oversee the creation, development, and management of 3D models for all project phases.
    • Ensure coordination across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines through clash detection and resolution using tools such as Navisworks or BIM 360.

    Collaboration and Communication:

    • ·Act as the primary point of contact for all VDC/BIM-related activities across project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.
    • Conduct regular coordination meetings and facilitate issue resolution.

    Process Optimization and Innovation:

    • Identify and implement strategies to improve workflows, reduce rework, and enhance construction quality.
    • Integrate construction schedules (4D) and cost models (5D) with BIM data to support project management and decision-making.

    Documentation and Standards Compliance:

    • Ensure adherence to client BIM standards and project-specific requirements.
    • Develop and enforce company-wide BIM standards and best practices.

    Software and Technology Management:

    • Stay updated on the latest VDC/BIM technologies and trends to keep the team at the forefront of innovation.
    • Provide training and technical support to project teams on BIM software, including Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and BIM 360.

    Quality Assurance:

    • Conduct quality checks on models to ensure accuracy and reliability.
    • Support field teams by providing detailed shop drawings, as-built models, and other deliverables.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    ** EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**

    • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in VDC/BIM management, preferably in mission-critical or hyperscale data center projects.
    • Proven experience in managing complex BIM projects from design through construction.

    ** KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND COMPETENCIES**

    • Proficiency in BIM software, including Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360.

    • Familiarity with scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and cost estimation tools.

    • Knowledge of clash detection, 4D/5D modeling, and coordination workflows.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.

    • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within deadlines.
