  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Enrollment Coordinator to join our team in Richmond, VA. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the enrollment process for job seekers, ensuring a smooth transition into the program. This is an office-based position enrolling the job seeker virtually. Additional assistance may be needed for people with low computer experience.

    • Determine eligibility of participants; conduct outreach, and assessment
    • Utilize virtual intake software to communicate with job seekers and to obtain verification for eligibility, enrollment and signatures
    • Strong presentation and facilitation skills to engage participants in meeting program goals
    • Maintain relationship with program staff for Adult and Youth services
    • Maintain case records for each participant to include service needs and activities of fulfillment according to data-management procedures and funding sources
    • Conduct group orientation for job seeker and provide a positive introduction to the WIOA components such as job search and career readiness workshops
    • Coordinate assessments throughout eligibility process
    • Maintain information about area resources and employers
    • Assume central responsibility for job seeker achieving eligibility progress throughout the enrollment cycle, beginning with verification and ending with referral
    • Ensure all enrollment cases are reviewed and approved by manager
    • Schedule time with manager to review intake process and suggest any strategies for improvement.
    • Submit internal and customer reports as required and process incoming referrals
    • Other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in social services similar major plus two years related experience
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Demonstrated customer service skills.
    • Demonstrated computer skills, with experience using word processing and spreadsheet software applications.
    • Familiarity with the communities being served, with knowledge and understanding of local needs and resources.
    • Be able to work first shift.
    • Travel when necessary.
