Ellie was founded with the goal of destigmatizing mental health care by breaking down barriers and providing innovative, client-centered therapy. We are looking for independent contractors to join our team and help make mental health services more accessible to the communities we serve.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy through HIPAA-compliant telehealth services.

Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation (progress notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries) within 48 hours of each session in the designated Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

Submit billing within 48 hours of service completion via the company’s designated EMR system.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, state laws, and professional ethical guidelines.

Maintain professional liability insurance (minimum $1M per occurrence, $3M aggregate) and provide proof of coverage.

Provide therapy services in a professional and confidential environment (no public spaces).

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Active clinical license in South Carolina (LMFT, LPC, LISW, etc.).

Master’s degree in a behavioral health field from an accredited institution.

Experience in telehealth therapy and virtual mental health services.

Proficiency in Office 365 and Electronic Health Records (Valant experience a plus!).

Must provide own equipment (computer, webcam, high-speed internet, phone) and maintain a confidential workspace.

Must carry professional liability insurance and provide proof before contracting.

Additional Details:

This is a 1099 independent contractor position (not a W-2 employee role).

Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and benefits.

No minimum caseload is guaranteed, but referrals may be provided.
