    The Materials Planner will be responsible for assisting the Supply Planning Manager in the end-to-end planning and execution of third party manufactured Vita Coco products. This role is based out of our NYC HQ reporting directly to the Supply Planning Manager – CoMan Americas. **

    Main Responsibilities:** **

    Planning**
    • Assist the Supply Planning Manager in
    o Material Replenishment Planning
    o Reporting product and raw material availability issues and analyze risk
    o Flag and accrue for any materials at risk of expiration
    o Provide rolling monthly & weekly forecasts to our copackers and suppliers

    Vendor Management, Scheduling and Logistics
    • Coordinate orders and material movements between nominated suppliers, contract manufacturers and warehouses
    • Analyze shipment schedules to ensure contract manufacturers will be able to meet target production
    • Help coordinate outbound shipments of finished goods from copackers to warehouses
    • Ensures proper documentation is shared with contract manufacturers and logistics partners
    • Build strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners
    • Assist the Supply Planning Manager in preparing monthly vendor scorecards **

    **

    Order Processing and Inventory Management
    • Place orders with manufacturers based upon agreed lead time and capacity availability
    • Partner with quality and suppliers on the management of materials on hold
    • Assist the Supply Planning Manager in end of month inventory reconciliation
    • Approve vendor invoices timely and submit to Finance for payment **

    Systems, Data Management and Reporting
    • Responsible for the upkeep of the bill of materials in SAP and planning tools
    • Maintain bill of materials and pricing info records
    • Be open to learn new IT systems for planning and logistics tracking **

    **

    New Product Development
    • Participate on cross-functional innovation and renovation management discussions
    • Collaborate with Technical team to set up new Co-Packers and SKU's
    • Collaborates with Marketing team to ensure new packaging orders have correct and approved graphics **

    Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Experience:** ******
    **• 1-3 years of supply chain experience with at least one year in production planning
    • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Economics, Industrial Engineering or Similar Field is preferred
    • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential
    • Demonstrated proactive problem solving and analytical skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a “can-do” attitude
    • Outstanding vendor management and communication skills along with the ability to implement process improvements with our partners as our business needs change
    • Working knowledge of SAP is required
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills, “team player” who can thrive within both a line and matrix organization with multi-site/multi-cultural context and effectively interreacting with all teams, areas, and levels of the business to complete the supply process
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Energetic, self-motivated, positive attitude and with the ability to drive improvements
    • And of course, the love of all thing's coconuts!

    At The Vita Coco Company, compensation decisions are dependent upon a variety of factors, which may include, but are not limited to skill set, experience, education, training, licensure and certifications, knowledge and abilities of the applicant, alignment with market data, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $70,000-$80,000. This range may vary for positions that will be performed outside of California, Colorado, Nevada, New York City, Westchester County, NY, Rhode Island, or Washington.
