Your purpose starts here! By joining Redeemer West Side you’ll help build a great city; bringing personal conversion, community formation, social justice, and cultural renewal to New York City and, through it, the world. We are FOR NYC; creating space for our community, where people’s questions are valued, and where our neighbors are known, loved, and cared for.
About the Center for Faith & Work (CFW): The Center for Faith & Work (CFW) is a ministry of Redeemer and exists to form Christians into agents of renewal who integrate their faith and work for the peace and prosperity of the city. Through theological and spiritual formation and community development, CFW helps people participate in God's renewing work in their own hearts, their workplaces, and the world. For more than two decades, CFW has served as the cultural renewal arm of the Redeemer network, fostering, shepherding, and empowering the church as it is scattered across the city.
Position Overview: The Vocation Group Catalyst will play a pivotal role in establishing and growing CFW's Vocation Groups. These groups are designed to equip, connect, and mobilize Christians within specific industries or professions, creating counter-cultural communities of Jesus-followers who actively seek to renew the city through their daily work. As Vocation Groups are a new initiative, this role requires a dynamic individual who can galvanize and enlist vocation group leaders, coach them in their team building process, build out the right model for launching vocation groups, communicate CFW’s vision, and build bridges across various stakeholders within the Redeemer churches.
Job Description:

Design an Effective Model: Develop a clear, actionable framework for healthy and sustainable Vocation Groups that aligns with the mission of CFW, alongside the Director of CFW.
Collaborate on Content Creation: Work closely with leaders to brainstorm and curate relevant content and formats, drawing insights from member feedback and emerging industry trends.
Resource Development: Assist in the creation and curation of a diverse range of curriculum and resources for Vocation Groups, including books, articles, and multimedia materials.
Oversee Gatherings: Visit Vocation Group meetings and work with VG leaders to thoughtfully integrate fellowship, prayer, teaching, and meaningful discussions to foster community and spiritual growth.
Manage Logistics: Identify and secure appropriate venues for meetings, ensuring all event logistics are handled efficiently to create a welcoming and impactful experience for participants.
Cultivate a Welcoming Environment: Foster a vibrant sense of community among Vocation Group members through regular communication, outreach to newcomers, and the organization of engaging events.
Liaison Role: Serve as the primary liaison between Vocation Group leaders, CFW staff, and Redeemer church leaders, ensuring seamless collaboration and support.
Mission-Aligned Activities: Ensure that all activities are edifying, challenging, and closely aligned with the group’s mission, fostering spiritual growth and connection.
Feedback and Progress Monitoring: Implement robust feedback mechanisms, such as participant surveys and attendance tracking, to assess the effectiveness of Vocation Group activities. Analyze feedback to identify areas for improvement and report on progress and outcomes to CFW leadership, providing insights to inform strategic decisions and enhance the program’s impact and sustainability.
