Lead Mold Remediation Technician Job Summary
As the Lead Mold Remediation Technician, you will be responsible for executing and overseeing all mold remediation activities, ensuring adherence to industry standards and Florida regulations. This role involves managing project teams, maintaining safety protocols, and delivering high-quality service to restore properties effectively. A Florida State Mold Remediation License is required for this leadership role, and additional certifications in related areas will enhance compensation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Remediation Services: Oversee all mold remediation tasks, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient processes, including containment setup, cleanup, and air quality maintenance.
Customer Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, clearly explaining remediation processes, addressing questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Team & Project Management: Lead and coordinate technician teams, ensuring timely project completion and adherence to Voda’s standards of excellence.
Safety & Compliance: Uphold all regulatory requirements and safety protocols for mold remediation, including containment practices and proper disposal of hazardous materials.
Equipment & Vehicle Management: Ensure that all remediation equipment and vehicles are well-maintained, conducting regular checks to guarantee readiness and compliance.
Documentation & Reporting: Complete and oversee job documentation, including project reports, pre- and post-remediation assessments, work orders, and technician logs.
Inventory & Tools Management: Maintain and manage inventory for mold remediation tools, materials, and supplies to ensure team efficiency and project readiness.
Qualifications
License Requirement: Active Florida State Mold Remediation License required.
Education & Experience: High school diploma (or GED) with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mold remediation, including team leadership experience. Additional certifications in water mitigation or other restoration areas are beneficial.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mold remediation, containment practices, and safety protocols, with experience operating air scrubbers, dehumidifiers, and other industry-standard equipment.
Math & Problem-Solving: Adequate math skills to assess project needs and determine the appropriate equipment and labor required.
Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in computers, email, and mobile devices for accurate reporting and project documentation.
Additional Certifications: Certifications in water mitigation or trauma scene cleanup are valued and can lead to increased compensation.
