About Videogame.ai Videogame.ai is an AI powered game engine and platform. We’re a small elite team with decades of experience in games. We’re a startup but we’re backed by big investors (like the creators of hearthstone and a16z). Our product is a simple text-driven editor that turns a text description into a playable video game. Under the hood, we’re using the latest generative AI technologies and some special architecture innovations of our own. Our mission is to bring the cost of game development to $0. About the role We are looking for a super-talented founding full-stack engineer to work on developing and maintaining the core product

What will you do?

• Build the foundations of videogame.ai. You’ll be building the core, scalable foundations of our backend for a huge market - from the ground up. This isn’t a task to be taken lightly, and we’re excited to partner with someone who is eager to dive headfirst into this opportunity.
• Discover novel ways to use generative AI. We’ve created a lot of secret techniques to accomplish awesome things with generative AI. On the team, you’ll learn these new paradigms and build on them. Together we’ll push the boundaries of what is possible with AI.
• Establish the culture. You’ll work together with the founding team members to build, scale, and set the culture of our engineering team.

What you bring As our founding full-stack engineer, you will have extensive experience building software to solve impressively difficult problems through past projects, designs, or GitHub contributions. Requirements:

• Python, Full-stack developer
• Strong understanding of backend development
• Operational understanding of frontend development
• Deep interest in and some prior experience with LLMs
• A serious love for gaming

What we offer Total Compensation of up to $200k (depending on seniority) Meaningful equity (0.35%-1.5%); we want you to take ownership and share in the success that lies ahead.
