    Position Summary

    The Volunteer Experience Intern is responsible for supporting the Volunteer Experience Director in the creation of educational tools, resources, and volunteer training programs. Specifically, this role is responsible for the development of high-quality adult learning modules and training workshops (in person session content and the build out of blended learning programs with online components.) Through established knowledge and skills with adult training development and design, the Volunteer Experience Intern will curate user friendly training programs and manage several training creation project plans – including creating timelines, delivering on project action items, and providing regular status updates to projects to the Volunteer Experience Director.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    Reviews training needs of volunteers, as presented by the Volunteer Experience Director, and manages the creation of a project timeline.

    Utilize experience with technology platforms (learning management software) to develop virtual training modules for key stakeholders – Girl Scout Troop Leaders, Community Volunteers, Parents, Staff, etc.

    Develop a robust catalog of training resources (to include infographics, one-pagers, brochures, checklists), and training workshops (to include PowerPoint presentations, pre-recorded virtual sessions, and interactive training modules via acrobat storyline.)

    Identify proper documentation processes for tracking completion of volunteer training, and assist with the creation and build out of a post-training survey process and data collection.

    Exemplify high levels of motivation, performance dedication and commitment internally and externally that heightens the Girl Scout brand and reputation in training materials, tools, resources, and workshops.

    Collaborate across membership, placement, community development, girl experience and operational departments to enhance personal level of knowledge and understanding of the Girl Scout Movement and volunteer training needs.

    Exemplify active participation in the development of environments that foster diversity, equity, inclusion, and access through words, actions, and attitude.

    Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.

    Recommended Skills, Education and Experience

    Highschool diploma.

    Experience with one or more of the following: Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, YouTube content creation, Salesforce CRM, and other eLearning technology platforms.

    Experience and/or interest in adult training design, volunteer management, or online learning content creation.

    Able to pass a Florida State Level II criminal background check.

    Physical Requirements

    The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must be able to withstand:

    1. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

    2. Operate office equipment manually.

    3. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds at times.
