    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Forklift Drivers safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment within our facility. This is a third shift position.  Third Shift hours 11 PM-7AM.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    As a Forklift Driver, you will be expected to perform any of the following activities at various levels of speed as directed by the Team Leader:

    • Must operate a forklift, hand dolly, or mechanical lift.
    • Must be able to understand and complete all necessary functions of the operation of the inventory management bar code system related to the movement of material throughout the warehouse.  
    • Must perform work in the following areas: Receiving, Staging, General Warehouse, Line Supply, Shipping, Mezzanine and Clean-Up.
    • Responsible for unloading, identifying, and counting all incoming components (Receiving).
    • Responsible for correctly ticketing and properly placing components in the warehouse location (General Warehouse).
    • Responsible for moving components from warehouse and/or shuttles, to the desired area (Staging)
    • Responsible for supplying all lines with the correct components and returning all unused components to the warehouse (Line Supplier and Mezzanine).
    • Responsible for moving palletized finished goods from the production area, receiving shipping information and properly loading goods on trailers (Shipping).  
    • Must operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
    • Perform other duties as directed by Supervisor.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 2 years forklift experience
    • Must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent
    • Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Must be able to successfully pass both written and driving tests
    • Self-organized, Self-motivated
    • Able to stand, sit, lift, bend, crouch, reach and climb consistently for up to 12 hours.
    • Must be able to work in accordance with Health and Safety and GMP regulations.
    • Must be able to work overtime where necessary.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    • Possibility of working around unpleasant odors.
    • Working in non-temperature controlled environment
    • Possibility of working around high noise levels, depending on location.
    • Constant interaction with a variety of chemicals and chemical products.
